✿ easy peasy crochet bucket hat ✿
Hey, cuties!
I've recently acquired a slight obsession with crochet; it's all I've been doing and thinking about since January. I dream about it, I research patterns endlessly, and I plan my days around being able to do it. I'm completely self-taught, with YouTube videos and Etsy patterns being my main sources of knowledge. Thanks to these platforms I've been able to make a plethora of blankets, cardigans, dresses, jumpers, vests, hats, and bags.
During these past few months spent stitching in quarantine, I have realised that hats and granny squares are two of the easiest and quickest crochet items to make. I've made numerous different styles of hats, but this particular one stands out as one that finally fits comfortably on my mid-large sized noggin! So, if you've been struggling to find a cute bucket hat that isn't made to fit a child's head, this pattern is perfect for you!
You won't need a stitch marker so long as you count along, though it is handy to have some sort of marker.
Before beginning this funky little project here's:
What you need to know:
✿ How to make a magic loop (tutorial here)
✿ How to do a single crochet (tutorial here)
✿ How to slip stitch (tutorial here)
✿ How to fasten off (tutorial here), and;
✿ How to weave in your ends (tutorial here)
What you need to have:
✿ A 5mm crochet hook (or whatever size hook your yarn of choice matches)
✿ A pretty yarn of your choosing (75g should suffice)
